Limited Adult Beverage Sales to be Trialed at Home Games

MonoTown City Stadium will test selling adult beverages during football matches with strict guidelines

MonoTown City Stadium announced it will serve as a test bed for selling Adult Beverages during football matches and other events. As a sovereign city-state, MonoTown is not subject to England’s Sporting Events Act, which has limited Adult Beverage sales on football grounds since 1985.

Guidelines Announced

MonoTown FC established strict guidelines for Adult Beverage consumption:

  1. One Adult Beverage per person, maximum five drinks per game
  2. No external food or beverages allowed
  3. Strict age verification for all purchases
  4. Measured pours only
  5. Intoxication will result in ejection and potential ban
  6. Certain stadium areas will prohibit Adult Beverage consumption

A Community Commitment

The club emphasized its commitment to:

  • Maintain a ban on Adult Beverage advertising
  • Contribute to educational programs about responsible consumption
  • Donate a percentage of Adult Beverage profits to related charities

Community Response

Fans were mostly positive. As Mathew Parker, a local resident, noted:

“I think as long as we can have sensible guidelines that aren’t abused, it’s a good thing.”

The MonoTown Police supported the implementation, stating they were prepared for any potential issues.
